I am currently on a six week adventure in Botswana. My first month is being spent as a volunteer with Cheetah Conservation Botswana. I am doing a variety of tasks: administrative, creative (repainting a large canvas depicting the various predator cats) and work out in the field such as setting up cheetah traps so a cheetah can be fitted with a GPS collar and tracked, collecting scat and checking motion sensor cameras. So far it has been an amazing experience.
I will then take a ten day photography safari out of Maun with Letaka Safaris. Photographers James Gifford and Steven Stockall will be guiding us. This will take me to some of the best wildlife viewing areas in Botswana such as Moremi, the Okavango Delta and Chobe. I end my trip in Kasane where I plan to do a day trip to Victoria Falls.
I return to the USA early October and anticipate having lots of amazing images to share!
